What is my rightsholder information?

Music metadata is complex, goes in depth and can be quite complex to learn, we’ve simplified the process by creating a rightsholder information page for all organizations to put in their information. Your IPI number is the code that identifies you (legally) as a songwriter, and the rest of your identity, whether you are an individual or acting on behalf of a corporation, represents your master and neighboring rights ownership. We have also made it easy for organizations to display their publisher status.

To protect your music identity and automate AML + compliance on releese, we must verify every organization’s rightsholder information and identity before enabling rights cloud. This step ensures no one claims your royalties if they shouldn’t be.

Your rightsholder information is only visible to you and to collaborators who set you as a rightsholder on a recording, simplifying the metadata collection process and ensuring you know who you are working with.
