What’s an assignee?

An assignee is an account that is assigned a task to complete. An assignee can be changed at any time on a task. An assignee will see his assigned task on his homepage for quick access and is meant to be used for organizational purposes.
 
You can assign a task to yourself or any member of a task board or a project, including users outside your own organization.
